So, seeing as it was Thanksgiving this past week, we came home with tons of leftovers. Last night I made a plate of turkey, potatoes, and green bean casserole. I got about half way through the turkey and I was gagging. Took two bites of the green bean cassarole and I couldn't even swallow it, it tasted so gross. Now, I've been known to be a little picky about the turkey - can't stand it to be dry, picky about the flavor, etc. But to be repulsed by my mom's green bean casserole? I LOVE that stuff! So what did I managed to eat? Mashed potatoes with gravy.
My mom and Lance of course noticed that I was throwing out most of my dinner, and so I told them that they both tasted nasty and I just couldn't eat it. Concerned that the food went bad, they both looked over the rest of the leftovers and determined that the food really was fine and it was just Sarah.
I defended myself: "I just can't eat it! It tastes gross! Everything tastes and smells different since being pregnant!" (Which is the absolute truth. I might have been a little picky BEFORE being pregnant, but now there are even less foods I like.)
Lance shakes his head and says: "That is one REALLY good reason I will never get pregnant."
